Purposes and legal basis on which we process your data
It is important for us to ensure the highest possible level of protection of your personal data. We use only the data provided by you and it will solely be used for recruiting. All personal data that is collected and processed within your application process will be protected against unauthorized access and manipulation by technical and organizational measures.
We collect and process your personal data in order to offer advertised positions and to be able to carry out the selection process. The data provided by you will be processed for the processing of your application, in case of the conclusion of an employment relationship also for the execution of the employment relationship. Processing for another purpose does not take place. The legal basis is § 26 para. 1 i.V.m. Para. 8 p. 2 BDSG (new) and § 22 para. 1 b) BDSG (new) or for public profiles Art. 6 f) DSGVO i.V.m. Art. 9 para. 2 e) GDPR. The legitimate interest in this case is to obtain from you a concise short profile, which you have obviously made public, i.S.d art. 9 para. 2 e) GDPR.

Furthermore, we may process personal data about you, as far as this is required to defend against asserted legal claims from the application process against us. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 b) and f) DSGVO. The legitimate interest is, for example, a burden of proof in proceedings under the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG).
If there is an employment relationship between you and us, we may process the personal data already received by you for employment purposes in accordance with § 26 (1) BDSG (new). This is done if it is necessary for the performance or termination of the employment relationship or for the performance or fulfillment of the rights and obligations of the employees' interests arising from a law or a collective agreement, a company or service agreement (collective agreement).

What personal data do we process? Who gets your data?
I agree that the information provided in my employment application will be stored in the ecx.io Candidate Application Database to process the application and to perform any related activities (including surveying and research activities to improve ecx.io's recruiting processes). This information will also be used to consider you for future potential opportunities.
By applying with a social media widget/button I agree that ecx.io may add a link to my public social media profile(s) to the application information.
Your information will be accessed by ecx.io internal recruiters, hiring managers, potential managers in the hiring organization and the associated technical and human resources supporting staff. Please note that your application can only be processed if you fill out all fields marked as “mandatory”. If you are applying to a particular opening, the data controller of your application information is your potential employer in the ecx.io group and your information will be protected in accordance with local law applicable to your potential employer. If you are submitting your application for any open current or future positions, the data holder of your information will be ecx.io (an IBM company) until your information is submitted to your potential employer for a particular vacancy. Please note that ecx.io is a company of IBM (International Business Machines Corporation) which is a US Corporation and while being the holder of your information it will be protected in accordance with US Laws. By registering, you acknowledge and approve that your information may be processed by any ecx.io subsidiary for the purpose of evaluating your application for employment and performing any related activities . By registering, you also acknowledge and approve that your information may be stored and processed on the data controller's servers or the servers of the authorized ecx.io or third party service providers anywhere in the world. If your information holder is a potential employer in the ecx.io, for the purpose of evaluating your application for employment and performing any related activities , by registering you also acknowledge and approve that your registration information may be transferred from the country where the potential employer is located to any other country where other ecx.io subsidiaries are located and that such transfer may take place even when the target country's legislation does not provide the equivalent level of personal data protection as that in force in the country where the potential employer is located. What rights do you have with respect to your application data?
You may at any time withdraw from a particular vacancy for which you may be applying.
You may view, update or change certain sections of your application. If you wish to obtain additional contact details regarding your data controller/holder, or a copy of your personal information that we keep, or if you become aware that the non‐editable information is incorrect and you would like us to correct it or delete it.
What rights do you have with respect to your personal information?
You can require information about the data stored about your person. In addition, under certain circumstances, you may request the correction or deletion of your data. You may continue to have the right to restrict the processing of your data and to have the right to disclose the data you provide in a structured, common and machine-readable format.
If we have asked for your consent, you can revoke it at any time. If you wish to revoke your consent to the processing of your personal data, this does not affect any processing already carried out.
You also have the right to request that it be corrected, blocked, or deleted. You can contact us at any time using the address given in the legal notice if you have further questions about the issue of privacy and data protection. You may also, of course, file a complaint with the competent regulatory authorities.
How long will your data be stored?
You are further advised that, depending on your jurisdiction and in accordance with applicable law, your ID and password will be deleted either six months or twelve months from the time your application process concludes or the last time you had access to this tool.
If no statutory retention period exists, the data will be deleted as soon as storage is no longer required or the legitimate interest in storage has expired. If not hired, this will be the case at least six months after completing the application process. If there has not been a recruitment, but your application continues to be interesting for us, we may ask you, if we can keep your application for future appointments continue in accordance with applicable law.
As the data subject, you have the right to obtain information about personal data concerning you, as well as the correction of incorrect data or cancellation, provided that one of the reasons stated in Art. 17 GDPR exists, e.g. if the data is no longer needed for the purposes pursued. There is also the right to restrict processing if one of the conditions set out in Art. 18 GDPR exists and, in the case of Art. 20 GDPR, the right to data portability. Each data subject has the right to complain to a supervisory authority if it considers that the processing of the data concerning them is contrary to data protection provisions. In particular, the right of appeal may be invoked by a supervisory authority in the Member State of the residence or the workplace of the person concerned or the place of the alleged infringement.

Are you required to provide your data?
In general, the provision of your personal data in the context of the application process is voluntary. However, the provision of personal data is required for the processing of your application or a contract for employment with us. This means that unless you provide us with personal data when applying, we can not enter into any employment relationship with you.
